In
1939, our firm was originally incorporated under the
name of Robert J. Strass, Inc. In 1966, After Mr.
Carrol R. Maguire, P.E. joined the firm, the name
was changed to Strass-Maguire & Associates,
Inc. Three years later, Carrol Maguire succeeded
Mr. Robert Strass as Principal Owner and President.
Mr. Lavern L. Nall, P.E. came to the firm as an Associate
and Structural Engineer in 1989 and succeeded Carrol
Maguire as Principal Owner and President in 1996.
A Leader With Experience - With over 60 years
of experience, Strass-Maguire & Associates,
Inc. has become a leader in its field of structural
design and analysis. The firm has experience in
a wide variety of projects; including commercial
buildings, hospitals, industrial facilities, high-rise
dormitories, schools, government facilities, bridges,
residential projects
and specialty structures. To date, the firm has
provided service on several thousand projects
located in the United States and overseas. The
consulting staff has a wide variety of experience
with steel and other metals, concrete, masonry,
wood and glass. Our team routinely utilizes state-of-the-art
computer analysis and drafting techniques to ensure
accuracy and efficiency on every project. Over
the past five years, our engineers have designed
curtain wall systems for many prominent jobs nationwide.
